Hunter Johnson has built his career in M&A, spending six years working in technology investment banking at William Blair, where he worked with entrepreneurs, owners, and shareholders on a wide range of M&A and financing deals. Before that, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University, concentrating in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, with minors in Computer Science, Finance, and Engineering and Management Systems. During his time at Princeton, Hunter was a member of the Varsity Heavyweight Rowing Team, which shaped his belief in the power of persistence, preparation, and collective effort in the pursuit of a common goal.

In addition to his investment banking experience, Hunter has built a successful real estate investment and management company that owns a portfolio of multi-family real estate properties in Chicago and Minneapolis—a hands-on experience that’s deepened his appreciation for long-term investing, operational excellence, and building value over time. Insight that becomes particularly valuable when a business looking to be acquired also owns real estate.

Building off of his M&A and real estate experience, Hunter is now focused on acquiring and operating small businesses. He is passionate about working closely with business owners and founders to preserve what makes their companies special, while bringing energy, resources, and strategic thinking to help write the next chapter of growth.
